yum

This is the brisket Jason made the other night:
It is from the NWA junior league cookbook page 110

Foolproof Brisket
1 beef brisket, trimmed
1tsp garlic salt
1tsp onion salt
1tsp celery salt
1 4 ounce bottle liq. smoke
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Worcestershire

put brisket in crock pot and sprinkle with all the salts..reserve 4 tsp of liq smoke. pour the rest over brisket. chill, covered, overnight
remove access liq. from pot. mix reserved liq. smoke, ketchup, vin. , sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in saucepan and boil. reduce heat and simmer until sugar dissolves, stirring. pour evenly over brisket. bake, covered at 250 for 5-6 hours..(jason let it go all day, i think)

i didn't know i liked brisket but i DO! ha!
we also made the green beans on pg. 136 and the cake on pg 54 that were really good too (in spite of a few wrong turns i made with the cake recipe! :) )

The Brisket needs to be 5-7 Lbs which is a relatively small brisket.
