The Carter's

I took Mccoy to the Dr on Monday because i think we might have slept for an hour this weekend. he was so hard at night. maybe sleeping for 30min increments. i thought for sure he had an ear ache or something. FALSE ALARM. ha. i ended up giving him some prevacid and the dr said that was ok and she gave us some more. i officially quit breastfeeding this weekend too. i always get sad when i quit. i just quit producing milk all together. mccoy was 16 lbs exactly at the dr (50%). he has hit his 5 month mark! he is such a sweet boy. so smiley.

he loves to watch his big sis.

he loves to grab for whatever food you're eating. he grabs for anything.

he has almost gotten the cereal down. i kept forgetting to give it to him so he never ate it on a consistent basis! oops! 2nd child all the way! we started peas 2 nights ago. and he gags. he is so offended that we would even do that to him. he hates them so much. this is so differernt than liza was. she LOVED everything that came to her mouth.

we feed him 8 ouces every 3 1/2-4 hours. he finishes it about twice a day and will sometimes only eat about 5. he is not really focused on eating after about 2 ounces so it takes a while to finish a whole bottle. this is also the complete opposite of liza. she would take down a bottle in 2 seconds!

he insists on grabbing the spoon when you feed him.

he can pretty much sit up but not quite...he will also topple over. he loves to lunge fwd from sitting like he is about to take off. he usually lands on his face though.

his teacher for next year called and i told her that she was just going to fall in love with him. he would make her day with all of his smiles and i told her how lovable he is. of course my eyes were filled with tears. pull it together kate!!! :)

ps. right this second he is STILL asleep. this has never happened in his entire existance.

could this be a miracle??? :) i would love this!!! he did roll over on his tummy. is this ok??

liza and i made water baloons for about 4 hours the other day. she loved it so much.

she has been so funny lately. she loves to say YOU'RE AMAAAAAZZZZING! she will say this all the time. even if i drive up a hill. she will say mom, you did it! you're amazing!!!!pretty good for the ego if you ask me.

i have also started a new book called 123 magic..it has worked GREAT so far. so cross your fingers!
