Well, We made it through the dance recital! whoooohooooo!!!!

Liza was pretty excited about it all. She kept saying she was going to be on staaage!!!!

kk came to glam up the hair and makeup before we went! thanks kk! :)

jason admitted to me after it was all over that he was really dreading the whole thing but he actually enjoyed it all! yes, the whooooole dance recital. jason and i laughed through most of it...and ESPECIALLY when liza was up. it was hysterical.

they turn the lights off between dances so we could see her getting out there and they pick them up and stick them on their spots and then all you hear is liza saying "mom?"

liza did the tap routine to splish splash and was about 5 minutes behind everybody most of the time.. she would look behind her at the lights and then get up and get reaaaally into certain dance moves.

then came the ballet one and she spotted us as soon as the lights came on! she kept waving at us and smiling at us...you could tell she was sooooo proud. when the dance was over and they were supposed to be walking off the stage liza stayed on to bow a few times then walked to the edge of the stage to yell at us about how she was bowing. then the finale came and liza did a HUGE skip out on stage to wave to everyone. so funny. when i went to get her from her dressing room, everyone stopped her in the hall to tell her how good she did. she ws really feeling good about the whole thing. i handed her flowers and she started crying and said , nooooo i want a special cookie treat, not flooowers!!!

oh well. gotta love her! :)
