Liza turned 4!
Tuesday was her actual bday and she was so pleased that her birthday celebrations were still ongoing from the weekend before!
She woke up and we had her bday gifts..a new tent with tunnel and her very own i-pod touch. she opened and shrieked "ohhhhhhhhh my goodness!!!! my verrrrry own phone!!!! " she AND MCCOY :( have loved it.
We will have to be getting mccoy one very soon because it has been the source of a lot of fights.
liza went to school and then i brought Popsicles for the class and they sang happy birthday. i stayed for story time and loved being in there! it is so fun to see liza with her friends! :)
i took the day off and came back to get her for lunch and jason and i took her to chick fil a! her choice! we went home and took naps and then headed to chuck e cheese! they had a blast and then we came home to pizza and cupcakes for dinner. i would say she had a very happy bday! :)
i went back and read what i wrote when liza turned 3. she still continues with so many of the same things...she knows EVERYONES names. if she doesn't..she will ask them. she will call them by their first and last name and sometimes middle initial.
she still wants to know who gave her things and where they came from.
if someone has given her a book and wrote a message in the front of it..she will get mad if i skip it during our reading time.
In the morning on her way into school she will announce something to everyone she sees each day. it might be that she has a hang nail or that her mom is at a work meeting..
she is wearing mostly 4/6 and a size 10/11 shoe.
her fav song is "hey soul sister" she can sing every word
she has gotten very easy to put down. she stopped getting up and sleeping in our bed maybe 4-6 or so months ago? we gave her a reward system for a week and then it pretty much disappeared and she was sleeping great. she will read a million books before bed. we usually read 3ish and then she will read by herself until she falls asleep.
she still LOVES to eat! haha! she has gotten quite a bit pickier. she really loves cheese pizza , grilled cheese and mac and cheese. she won't eat spaghetti or most meats. she will eat chicken nuggets, peanut butter and honey, and ard boiled eggs or scrambled eggs. she is very into carrots (not cooked) and ants on a log (celery with peanut butter and raisins) she eats an apple a day just about! she loves cantaloupe and pretty much any fruit.
She loves to pretend she is a puppy or kitty. she will act like that all day long and she will only answer to puppy or whatever she has decided on being.
she will hand out the prize of who gets to read her books that night each day. if she thinks i just did something sweet for her she will say, "guess what mom! you get to read books tonight! "
She is still VERY into anything artsy. When i pick her up from school she is almost always at the art station working on something. if she is waiting on dinner or something at the table she will find a pen and paper and draw. she draws mostly people, dinosaurs, rainbows and animals or her name.
Some funny stories from the last couple of days:
*jason was taking the kids to school and i was waving bye. liza said "dad, you need to say bye to your wife! say bye wife!"
*i picked liza up from school the other day and she said, "well mom, ms. mallori said i had a pretty bad day today." i said oh no liza! what happened? and she said" well i might have accidentally told (one of her friends named kate) that she wasn't going to be my best friend today. i went on to say how that made kate feel and it wasn't very nice and she said "mom, it was an accident ok!!!"
*"mom, spongebob is probably the funniest guy i know."
* i asked her what her favorite part of her birthday was and she said "eating"
*she asked me how old i was and i said 30. she thought about it for a second and said in a very sad voice, "mom, i wish i was 30 so so bad." i said what can i do that you can't do? and she said "climb mountains" (which, for the record i have never done)
(she later decided that 16 was the age she was looking forward to because she could sit in a big seat in the car like mom and dad.)

My dear, sweet Liza -
I want to say again Happy Birthday. You are the perfect 4 year old - so smart, so pretty, and so good. But the thing I continue to be pleased with is how thoughtful you are. You play nicely with your brother, you can't wait to hug on your parents when you see them, and you always are so excited to see all of us who visit - grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. You even have introduced yourself to people you don't know in Springfield and say "it's nice to meet you." You are charming and warm and everyone loves you just like you love them. I'm so proud of you and happy that you are my granddaughter who is 4 years old!
Love, Coco
