Christmas in Springfield

Off we went to Springfield on Thursday!
Liza spent a lot of time helping in the kitchen..here she is helping coco with the christmas pastry/Cinnamon roll thingy we have had for 100 years. it is so yummy. my mom was making 2 of them and liza said that one was for her family and then everyone else could share the other one.
we had a busy day on christmas eve. we woke up and went to have family pics made. this was quite a to do. the kids were exhausted by the end of it since they had been up since 5. we went from there straight to the annual father/kid lunch. mccoy slept through it and liza broke down about half way through so then we headed home to take naps. after naps we got ready to hit the town to all the christmas eve parties! liza and mccoy only made it to one and my parents came home and put them to bed and jason and i got to go to late night party at the stacks! ALWAYS a good time! :) but it makes us EXTRA sleepy early on Christmas morning!

mccoy channelled don johnson for his Christmas eve party outfit. he refused to wear his jeans because they didn't feel good though.

after a couple hours worth of picture taking that morning..no one was really excited when i brought my camera out to pose before the parties. including my dad!
liza and aunt jen doing mean face

silly face

totally done with smiling.
and now she has caught some sort of leg cramp

pics from lunch. mccoy sleeping.
christmas morning!

mccoy LOVES these trucks. he pushes them around all day saying vroooom vroom
liza kept getting fruit in her stocking and thought Santa got mixed up. she kept running over and putting it by crickets stocking. she thought that is where he meant for it to go.

mccoy decided to leave the party and play with his trucks away from the hoopla

aunt jen and liza making a smoothie!

anna claire and liza at the christmas eve brunch.
Fran and Bob came over for christmas night
they got liza and mccoy the talking woody and jessie and buzz. these kids were in heaven.
liza had asked me which present was hers when they brought them in and i showed her..then went on to do something else. i hadn't seen liza in a while so i went looking for her and went into my parents room where i found liza and cricket opening up the jessie and woody dolls. it was deer in headlights. i said, liiiiiza. what are you doing? and cricket said "she told me you said it was ok!!!! i jsut walked into her opening and asked if she needed help!" so liza had snuck off with ehr present and opened it and then hit jackpot when cricket walked in to help! ;)

we had such a wonderful time in springfield. we always get a ton of help with the kids and have a ton of fun. we are so grateful for everyone's generosity and appreciate everyone's love and attention! we feel very very blessed to be surrounded by suck great role models and people and lucky that they are our family!
