ok, so we were out of school 4 days last week due to the massive ice/snow storm that hit. these pics are all from LAST week. another one has hit this week so i'm sure our pics will be very similiar! ;)
i have not been able to blog hardly at all because my new camera freezes up our computer making it pretty much impossible to do anything. i couldn't even load all the pics from last week on here. so a new computer will hopefully be here soon.
the kids played out in the snow a ton last week. it was disgustingly cold though. we were busy. very busy. i am not going to lie. there were a few moments of panic when i thought we weren't going to make it. but looking back it was a fun week! :)
liza played in her makeup from memes and patsy! our whole kitchen was covered in powder. i told her that when you apply powder you have to blow on it before you apply.
which caused for some big powder storms.
one morning my mom called just in time to give us some activity ideas! she is a life saver!
we searched for "dinosuar bones" (popsicle sticks)
then glued the skeleton together.i thnk we made pancakes pretty much every morning.
we painted the shower. this got the award for the LONGEST activity throughout the week. it kept them entertained for a while. they would paint the shower. then take a shower. then i gave them sponges to clean the shower up then they would take a bath. the bad part about it is my shower still looks pretty much like this. i have scrubbed and scrubbed but the grout is officially rainbow colored. oh well. this activity was done around 20x.
i think if i stayed at home i would have to have a complete 30min increment lesson plan for each week. it is serious business to manage these 2 wild things. wow!
we played with lots of play dough, played with neighbors, built snowmen, painted snow, made snow ice cream, made rice krispie treats, took a bath with buckets of snow to melt, painted on teh easel, chalked, glued magazine pics onto posterboard, cut out pics, worked on valentines, did stickers, worked on puzzles, watched movies, went to chloe's, went to razorback basketball game, played board games, played in the dollhouse, trains, made snowflakes and spider webs out of glue and strings, traced our bodies and dres clothes on them, bounced on beds...i have officially depleted my gift closet. i gave them every gift i had pre bought and had in our house.
