Dance Recital

Thursday night we had dress rehearsal for the recital. it was pretty darn funny. when we were getting out of the car liza said, well, mom.......i don't think i remember my dance anymore.
that night liza added a few freestyle moves to the routine.

last night was the recital! she was pretty excited to get on stage with all her buddies! she's always got her eye on the prize though and wanted to know what all treats and presents would be waiting for her afterwards.
they did their dance to calendar girls. liza would sing it so so loud during the dance

While there are trillions of everyday moments to swoon over your kids, there's something about watching performances that spins a different perspective on the privilege of raising children.

You're just overwhelmingly proud. When they score a goal, make a basket, land a jump, receive a medal, nail the perfect pliẻ, and then bow, curtsey and look to make sure you're watching? That's my kid, everyone. That's my kid

liza said the bow was her favorite part. she kept her hands held up the entire time and did a bow so big her head was on the floor. haha.then they thanked all the teachers and named them off and liza was cheering as loud as possible for all of them!

these pics are from dance pictures last week.
this was the week i was gone to orlando and apparantly liza had a breakdown during pics so i'm not sure if these are her happiest smiles! they look at little painful to me! haha! :) we have had a fun year with this group of buddies! they have kept us entertained every wed night that is for sure!

Definitely Broadway material! Brings back lots of good memories. Where was Norman doing "shuffle, shuffle" with his hands?
