laid back weekend

 we had a great laid back weekend! we were planning on going to the lake on sat but we decided we were too exhausted to pack the car! i think heat exhaustion is setting in at our house! (at least i know it is for me! ) sat we laid around in pj's and played outside and drank coffee out of coffee mugs. for some reason it is a HUGE perk to me to get to do that!!!!! i guess since i'm always leaving so early and in such a hurry in the mornings. i am always so grateful when i get to drink out of a real cup, slowly.
jason says it is my favorite thing to get to do to sit in a chair in the backyard early in the morning while my kiddos run around and i get to drink my coffee with 2 hands on my mug. he is right! i love it!
btw---i thought up a new parenting technique that i liked.
liza was asking for 1 million things this morning like could she go over to the neighbors etc. i told her if we raced to the fence and she won she could go.
so we got on our marks and had a good ole foot race. OF COURSE i got my sprint on and left her in my dust. this went on a few times so i got a pretty good work out. whatever works people!!!!! ;)
we got ready and went to austin's bday aprty at the skating rink.

 we headed out to the pool after naps and then ate dinner and played "goff" the kids love riding around in the cart! mccoy is so serious about his golf game!!!!

 i am so so grateful for weekends with these munchkins! it is always fuel for another busy work week!!

oh, ps...
here is a funny from liza from a couple weeks ago...
so her tubes in her ear starting draining and we started giving her ear drops. i guess she had heard me say there was yellow puss coming out of her ear. well she got on the phone with coco while we were driving and told her that there was yellow p-(word) coming out of her ear!!!! (* yes she did, you can just guess what p word she used)
