Grand Finale Lake weekend

We headed up to table rock sunday morning after the game to get the last couple days of the lake in. somehow it turned fall within 24 hours and there was a nip in the air!

cricket and jason worked on these homemade "jugs" and did some "jug fishing" on monday. they were so into it and proud of their work. as soon as we packed up to head home we got this picture text to us! they finally caught the big one! jason was SO sad he missed it...and cricket was so proud!
we had a rock skipping contest that i had WON until jason came over to show off.
coco took the kids on a nature walk early one morning. they were SO excited to bring me back some lovely bouquets! mccoys is the stick bouquet and the others had rocks in the bottom! love em! :)
it was so chilly in the morning and coco and the kids sat on the porch and watched all the birds come to eat breakfast!

the kids caught 99999999999 fish
and liza met another love of ther life.
a praying mantis.
a praying mantis named brownie

It needs to be said that brownie lived a good miraculous life after being saved from my People magazine turned bat. when i saw it and shrieked, KILLL ITTT! ,she screamed, MOM!!!!! YOU CAN'T KILL IT!!!! IT'S A PRAYING MANTIS AND IT'S PRAYING TO THE GOOOOOOODDDDDD!~"
she thought it was darling. She said he had THE CUTEST eyes.
"Brownie" did not have enough breaths left in his new Tupperware house. When we arrived home from the lake brownie appeared to be "playing dead" so we let him rest outside on a leaf and now we have confirmed his passing into heaven. liza says she will never be able to replace brownie and i am hoping she doesn't until she has her own place. ;)

she thought this fish was the cutest most precious thing she had seen since she layed eyes on her praying mantis earlier in the day.
the girl has a lot of love to give
both were catching fish in tandem

 mccoy LOVEd throwing rocks
cricket took out his stitches and put some derma bond on his head. i thought it would be a good idea for him to swim in this shower cap so the lake wouldn't touch it. i even bought him blue.
he didn't think it was a good idea
 the ross' came to play!

mccoy was so exhausted he fell asleep on the dock in coco's arms. we couldn't believe he did that. precious boy!
it was a little chilly on monday and someone was done taking pics

for some reason i wasn't sure how i felt about the season changing so abruptly. it was HOT on sat and then cold the rest of the weekend. i think i usually love a good season change but this one just caught me off guard i guess. it was if it didn't ask for permission...i'm ok with it now..don't you worry.
maybe since my summer was so busy with work i felt like i had not gotten all of it. did i miss some of the summer? did we eat it up as much as we should have? did we go to the pool enough? well i think so..the lake? no. but it's over just. like. that. it went so FAST that is for sure!
also i was not feeling all rainbows and gumdrops for my work week to start again.
i usually don't do that either.
it was like i knew that the tuesday was really just a monday dressed up as a tuesday.
i think i felt like it was a sneaky move
but i NEEDED a an extra day in my weekend
so thank you for that.
and now that tuesday is under the belt i'm not sure what i was feeling so weird about.
or did it just come to me...........
diet starting???
had. to . be. it.
hate it when that happens.

It all felt perfect - except for the diet part. I'm having to do it too. Sure was fun . . . . .

Love, Coco
