Oh liza has been counting down the days to st. patrick's day ever since coco gave her a "lesson" on the holiday a couple weeks ago. :) since then she has been asking LOTS of questions about it: do a lot of people get pinched? do people in my neighborhood pinch? do cricket and coco wear green? do people in their neighborhood pinch? do you wear green the day before? how many presents do you get? do leprechauns bring them? what do we eat? for breakfast, for lunch? for dinner? etc etc.
they did a school wide pajama day the friday before and liza INSISTED that hers was green as well just in case it needed to be. also as she was leaving that day for school she said, mom what time are you picking me up today? and i said , i don't know what time would you like me to get you and she said, LATE!!! please pick me up LATE. you got it? that is not EARLY. whatever you do, do not get me early! haha. glad she likes school, that is for sure!!!! :)
so st. patricks day morning came and they were so excited!
we headed over to coco and crickets and when we pulled up there were 2 green buckets waiting on the fence for them! the leprechauns had been there and left their little footprints (4 leaf clover stickers) and piles of gold (pennies) EVERYWHERE! :) the kids LOVED finding all the gold!!! :) they then went to find their baskets filled with all things green! green spinach and peas and Green candy! and a book about little pea and if he doesn't eat all of his sweets there will be no veggies for dessert! :) then cricket whipped up green pancakes (liza's request) and we had green grapes and lucky charms and ham (not green).
thanks for taking special care of us coco and cricket!!!! :) everyday is special at your house!!! :)
we also went to the baseball game fri night and had lots of fun! it was kind of wild and i forgot my camera card so i didn't get any pics but it was a fun night!!! :)
and now liza has a FULL countdown to EASTER. this girl's life is one holiday to the next that is for sure!!! :)

That looks like so much fun! I might have to borrow some of those ideas when mine are a little older!
What a fun St. Patrick's Day! I'm so glad we came down. Grandma loved the McCafferty side of her family and they were very Irish. My Grandma was Nan McCafferty and was the oldest of 11 kids. They were my great aunts and uncles and I loved them all. So I can feel a little Irish on St. Pat's Day!
