this next pic is a side note:
we have been doing sticker charts for the last few months and after 10 stickers(sleeping in their beds all night) they got to get prizes. i took mccoy on a special trip to target to get some "masks" he had seen that he wanted. well when we got there he COULD NOT DECIDE what to get. we were there going up and down every aisle for 2 1/2 hours i think. it was a very intense situation. he kept going back to the sports equip aisle and REALLY wanted some cleats that he kept calling "baseball shoes." they were size 13's and he wears 9's so i kept trying to steer him in a different direction. it was getting a little hairy as the clock ticked and all he could think about was the shoes. he ALSO really wanted the socks next to them. we finally came came to terms that i would look online to see if they had his size on the shoes and he insisted on the socks as his prize. when i say socks.....
they were MENS black tall baseball/soccer socks. he would not accept the fact that these were not for him so i thought..oh well....it is not me for me to choose what his prize should be. so be it.
so we headed to the cashier to check out with our "toy"
mens black knee high socks.
needless to say--when we got home to put the "socks" on, the excitement of his new thigh high black tights quickly began to crumble.
we walked down to reid's house to see if he had some old cleats we could borrow. HALLELUJAH!!!!!!
he did! they are still size 12 i think and REALLY big but mccoy has worn the EVERY SECOND since he got them. he runs SUPER fast ;) in them. he LOVES them. more that anything, really! :) they are all he an think about and when he gets up in the morning he brings them for us to put on his feet. reid saved the day!!! :)
