Summer!

i have been bad about just taking pics with my phone lately...so here is a bunch! :)
the above pic is something that mccoy has been up to. he has been having a TERRIBLE time with his clothes. he has gone through a couple stages in the last few months with his clothes. for a while he only wanted to wear his razorback jersey and razorback basketball shorts. every day and every night to sleep in...which meant it was dirty a lot and that would throw him into a tail spin! ;)
it was getting to be a struggle to get him dressed... if it wasn't a struggle we would get him dressed in what we had laid out for him to wear and then he would get to school and change immediatly into his extra clothes...they started to put a stop to that because it was getting excessive the amount of times he wanted to change...he then became obsessed with ONLY new school extra clothes that are pretty much lost and found clothes. he LOVED  a pair of new school shorts (acutually swimsuit) that had lightening bolts on the side and he loved some tennis shoes thay had there, and new school underwear..they were trying to regulate this behavior and then he decided if they wouldn't let him change he would force them into it...so that started with going to the water fountain to get water on his shirt and then when that didn't work he would go teetee in his shorts...and then the last day he went poop in his shorts. SO...
needless to say it was time to do something about this!
we decided to go a couple weeks and let him wear WHATEVER he wanted..no matter what...if it was the same thing day/night for a week we were going to go with it...ms ruth thought he would get over it quickly. ;)
so we did, and he did start to get over it!!!! :)
the above pic was one of the first days we went in and laid out his clothes..whatever he wanted. it was sprinkler party so he got to pick out a swimsuit too...on a side note..he has wanted to wear these swim shirts a lot as a normal shirt and i couldn't figure out why and then it hit me that he sees the older boys wearing those armour shirts like that!!!!! he wants to be a big boy SO bad! ;)
as the days went on he started to get tired picking out his clothes and would just say...you go do it mom!!!! so, needless to say it is MUCH better!!!!! :) i'm still letting him go with most of his choices that he is passionate about...like at the baseball game he REALLY wanted to wear his baseball pants and his lucky socks so he did! :) but there has been lots of days he has let me put on his normal clothes too! :)who knows...it is going to be a process with this crazy dude!!!

it was my dad's bday and father's day a couple weekends ago and so we packed up to head to the lake! :)
i was thinking this was so cute how he was sitting but then realized he was staring at me like that because he was waiting on me to realize he had pulled his arms out of the car seat.
one thing on cricket's bday list was a new tube for the boat....so guess who wanted to get him that??? ;)
they LOVED tubing!!!!!!

anna claire and william came to play on the dock with us!

 caught matching fish!!!! :)
during a tug of war between liza, mccoy (liza had her ribbon in her mouth) mccoy tugged and pulled out 2 of liza's teeth!!!!! lol! we had no idea the tooth fairy was going to come to the lake!!!! :)
jason and my dad (heavy on the jason part) were obsessed with these jugs they put out and they caught some big ones!

cricket gets a german chocolate cake every year since forever and it was yummy as usual!!!! mccoy is always a little sad when it's not his birthday though. he really was hoping cricket was going to have a pinata.

 open presents!

i bet my dad never thought he would still be pulling me in a tube at 32....he has probably done that for about 30 years now!!!! :)

meanwhile back at home we have been soaking up the summer fun!!!

we had "miller night" at the naturals game last week!

lots of pool time this weekend!

raise your hand if you are having funnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!

The birthday/Father's Day at the lake was one of our best! Two great dad's even makes it better. I thought Liza and McCoy were so easy this year on the dock and in the water. Liza's bird calling was entertaining as she talks to the birds in their whistles when she can. McCoy's character acting is hilarious especially when he has a hat or suggestions of a costume. It was a beautiful weekend at the lake.

Love, Coco
