Liza turns 8!

Liza has told me she was 8 for about 6 months so i have kind of thought she was 8 before the day. lol!
at 8 she is still the bug loving, art doodling,  dog cuddling, funny funny little girl.
she LOVES any animals....wether it is a grasshopper, rollypolly, dog, horse, dead mouse in the yard...she LOVES it! she tells everyone she is going to be a vet when she grows up.
she is FUNNY. her humor and wit come without prompt. a lot of her humor is found in the henny penny style "the sky is falling" her flair for drama is exerted daily! she loves to tell a story about how something in her day was a disaster and how it is usually mine or jason's fault. it could be something as simple as her shoe was tied wrong and it caused this, which caused this, which made her do this, which caused this and this and this...
she likes to be on time, and on time is 15 min early.
she still wants to know where we are at all times in a big group  "beacuse...rememeber that time mom.. (insert some time that she has convinced herself that i tried to abandon her and she caught me)
she has finally started getting dressed by herself without acting like we are putting her in a torture chamber by asking her to do it on her own.
she LOVES art. i find her doodles everywhere. they are in every notebook or paper around the house. they are usually some sort of character or animal that is telling a story.
she reminds us to always stand guard "watch edie mom!!!!" :mccoy is doing something dangerous mom"
she is our social calendar and our camp director. she remembers every art project or any tradition we do around holidays. she would never forget one and alwys wants to know if i am prepared for them coming up..do u have the glue sticks, the ingredients, the supplies... she loves to brainstorm on new ideas for the holidays and what other projects we could do. she has her own ideas about all of them and wants to see them through!
her birthdays are her creations. she thinks and thinks about how and when she wants it done. she is very direct about what she does and doesn't want. she has a talent at making decisions and being totally confident in them. her creative mind is such a gift as well as her drive.
she loves to cook and create things in the kitchen. she is my healthiest eater and the most interested in cooking. she has just started running and although it is HARD and not always fun she has been brave in following through. i am proud of her daily.
she wants to be in every activity and we are constantly talking about how we create balance and pick and choose what she wants to do. right now tennis is her favorite thing. she is fun to watch!
she is a negotiater, she never fails to try a negotiation. she is also a mediator. if mccoy is throwing a fit she is finding a way to fix it.
she is very in tune with her heart and is always asking when she can see relatives again or past babysitters ect.
she loves school so very much. she never wants to miss and hates feeling like she is going to be late. she adores her teachers and everyone that is there! she still checks out mostly nonfiction books! lol!
i have never in my entire life seen her wake up in a bad mood. now...she happens to find them along the way in her day sometimes but never ever wakes up with one.
she hugs with GUSTO. no matter who you are she will bear hug you!

she is kind. her heart is so full. she absolutely ADORES her friends. i think throughout her entire life this will be one of the most fun things to watch her do....to be a friend.
