We headed to the lake on Sunday and the kids were so excited. Liza had been asking when we were going to "cricket's lake" every second for a week. she was so excited about fishing she could hardly stand it. this girl is somethin else. she LOVES worms and fish and slimy things. TOTALLY gross if you ask me. haha.
McCoy got to fish this time and caught his first fish! Excuse the picture overload. I just never wanted to forget the look on his face as he ws reeling his fish in! Pure joy! :)
He kinda thought the fish were gross once they got close to him though. I might have rubbed off a little on that one!
So this is a once in a lifetime pic of me fishing. Everyone was busy and mccoy wanted to fish so i thought i would let him stick the pole in the water for a second and we could get help if we caught something.
well well well...i had NO idea we were about to catch the biggest fish of the year. i started screaming and freaking out because it was pulling the pole in and i could see it was a huge catfish. when i say screaming imagine nothing short of what someone would do if they were on fire. this was cracking mccoy up so much that he was screaming and laughing too. of course help came running but not in time. the line broke and off it went. the boys did confirm and see it with their own eyes though!
so after that was all done with mccoy thought we screamed and yelped when we realed in ANY fish we caught! it was so funny! he did it every time!
not only did we make mccoy wear a pink life jacket all summer it is backwards and a little tight in the tt!!! ouchie! :) sorry mccoy..just now noticing that!

Oh your blog makes me smile!!! I just love reading about the Carter Family Adventures! Liza is just beautiful and that McCoy boy is gorgeous. I know you are so proud - and well you should be. What a blessed life you have!!! You and Jason have no idea of the many happy years you have ahead of you!!! Keep on being great parents - I love it!
