The Carter's

 We came straight home from vegas and went to the new school fun run. It is always so funny to me. last year liza just ran and screamed and laughed the whole time. this year was serious business.
I was down toward the finish line with mccoy and jason was with her at the starting line. she took off and really ran as fast as she could i could tell by her face she was so serious about it and kind of scared! haha! the whole entire stands are screaming during the race and everyone is yelling their names. it really makes me laugh every time. she won first place!! i got to her at the finish line and hugged her. her bottom lip was quivering from being so overwhelmed. haha. she really was beside herself!!!! she said they were happy tears and we went to get her trophy. she was feelin pretty good that day!!!
we have told the "fun run story" about the day liza won her race  many times for a bed time story. she cracks up every time i do the lip quiver.
it was such a good teaching opportunity to talk about trying your hardest and  being a good sport! :)
