whew! i'm back from chicago! it was a LONG trip. i missed my little household so so much. on the last day of our training we spent the whole day doing these team building activities. they were pretty annoying. and after spending every waking moment with the same people all week it is the perfect recipe for maximum annoyance. our last drill was to get into teams and build bikes. you didn't have all the tools and it was timed ...when everyone was done they brought in a group of boys from the boys and girls club to see their first bike. they had no idea that is what they were doing so they were SO excited! of course, the second they walked into the room i was a blubbering mess. it made me miss my kids so bad and it shoved me back into a grateful spirit...one i tend to lose at these long work meetings. i think i had tears running down my cheeks for at least an hour. i couldn't turn it off! ;)
i was so happy to see the faces of these 2 munchkins when i walked into the door fri night!
and that hubby who gave me one of those big hugs i realized i had missed all week.
it smelled like spring the second i walked off the plane. what a treat.
my parents had the kids all week and my mom brought them back in town thurs night. they were busy every single second in spfd! they went to the discovery center, nature center, went to play with teh geese on the golf course, etc etc. they had THE BEST time. that is always such a gift to us because i don't worry about them not enjoying themselves for one second. my mom was fighting off a sinus infection and my dad was on call one night so i know it wasn't exactly easy but they made me feel like i was doing THEM a favor by letting them spend time with these kiddos! thank you coco and cricket from the bottom of our hearts! :)
the weather was so nice on sat that we decided we could not be inside. we went to have a picnic at the park!
anyone that has spent more than one second with mccoy knows how much he loves "yeyyow" (yellow) i cracked up when i saw this shirt... perfect fit! :)
i'm not sure if i can put into words how much this guy LOVES his daddy. he thinks he is the coolest person around. he wants him to be the one to put him to sleep, to get him when he wakes up, etc etc. he will watch jason to see how he is sitting and sit the EXACT same way. i love watching that little guy fall head over heals for his daddy. the. best.
it was kk's bday on sat so the roarks and spencer's came to play and eat burgers! happppppppppppy birthday kk!!!!!!!
everybody is happy with cake in their mouth! :)
