a week ago friday we went to have mccoy's staples take out (6 days in). i took him for a donut date before taking him to school. he was a VERY happy boy!
it bled some when the staples came out so it had formed a pretty thick scab. that came off and it looked like the wound wasn't completely back together at the top of it. we took him back in tuesday to see if it was ok. Our dr said she thought it would heal and said "just make sure he doesn't hit it!"
well, two days later...
Thursday we got a call from school that mccoy had been pulling a wagon while walking backwards and had tripped over another child and smacked his head back on the concrete. THAT resulted in the whole dang thing coming right on open again! :( i was in rogers and jason went to get him at school and i met them at the dr. she didn't have a staple gun to put it back together so she stitched it back up! it took 4 of us to hold mccoy down. our muscles were all shaking after about 30 min of fighting him! that dude HATED those stitches. poor thing, i don't blame him one bit. i took him to the toy store and he picked out a fire engine and bucket of cars and we all got milkshakes. after that, he had already forgotten there was any trauma! one tough lil guy!
to top the week off, last night he got stung by a wasp! look how swollen his thumb was!
we are ready for that rain cloud to move away from mccoy's head! haha!
