The week of thanksgiving we decided to start potty training mccoy. i was SHOCKED at how easy he was. liza was REALLY hard so i was expecting that same situation. he had an accident in the first hour and then he was great after that. i told liza if she helped me she could have a skittle every time he went too so i'm not even kidding....she pretty much potty trained him all by herself. it was amazing. she would ask him if he needed to go constantly and then would go with him every time and encourage and then we SCREAMED every time he went. liza got her feelings hurt that we weren't screaming for her too so the first couple of days we screamed every time the toilet was flushing. mccoy was VERY proud of himself. he even did an unprompted #2 on day 1. HOWEVER, he had a couple accidents on thanksgiving in springfield and now we are having a hard time getting him to go #2 in there but they said he is doing great at school too! :) phew! i don't think he has totally graduated but i'm feeling pretty good about it!
next step: good bye paci. on nov 1 we would not let him have it unless he was in his bed and over the christmas break we plan to do away with it. this will be SO SAD for mccoy so wish us luck! :)
then we will do a big boy bed sometime after that....
he crawls out the bottom of his bed ALL the time so it is time..but i don't want to make too many changes at once.
our fish, bob, had been sick for a month or so and did not make it past thanksgiving. liza was SO sad that bob went to heaven. We went to get another BFF best fish friend. they named him Jerry.
we came back from springfield on sat and i took liza to see a movie and jason took mccoy to the basketball game!
i had a gno this week and so jason and davey took the kids to the game that night. they got on the big screen! :)
dec 1st started some of our christmas traditions! :) the elf on the shelf came out and the advent calender started! liza wakes up about an hour early now to go check the bucket.
