beach 1,2

it rained and rained the first beach day. and rained some more.
I LOVED it. it gave me a chance to take a bath, read a book, take a nap, love and cuddle and just RELAX! I really think it has been years since I have done all of those things together! my kids were still in euphoria because everything was so new...they swam in the rain and ran around the condo.
they were probably just glad to be out of car seats.
this guy. thanks for letting me relax and rest my eyes and my soul. loved it.
we got all dressed and headed to the red bar for dinner! it was packed and the band was louder than any band but edie slept on the floor in her car seat under the table and and the kids watched movies and jason and I smiled at each other over our drinks because we couldn't hear each other talk. and a couple of times the kids tried to tell us something and we would nod.

those are my loves right there.

day 2 was still a little cloudy which was very lucky for us because it meant it wasn't too hot for edie to hang!

she hunts for animals. all day long. or shells or anything she can put in that net.

the next night we decided to let the kids run wild on the lawn at seaside and eat food from the foodtrucks there. it was so so yummy and laid back and easy.

day 3 was a little harder on the beach with edie it started to get hot and so jason and I ended up taking turns with her for the afternoon.

we signed the kids up at the seaside art camp so we could have a date night but jason lied about McCoy being 5 and they kicked him out. so McCoy, jason, edie and I went on a date night to café 30a. the food was AWESOME and it is so funny to me how all of a sudden when you have 2 kids not 3  it becomes the easiest gig ever haha. we kept the root beers coming for McCoy and he was a happy camper. liza was in heaven at her art class with wheatley then we met up with the parkers afterwards for ice cream and play time till my kids got in a fist fight and it was time to go home.
