McCoy turns 5

mccoy carter was so so so excited to turn 5. for weeks i begged and pleaded with him to not do it. to stay 4 forever and he refused. he just couldn't pass it up! i kept telling him i would make a deal and buy him anything he wanted if he stayed 4 and he would belly laugh and say NO DEAL! :)
this kid, more than anything in life, wants to be BIG! :)
so since the day after his 4th birthday last year he has been planning his 5th birthday.
mccoy planned EVERY SINGLE bit of his party.
he would search and search for pictures of things he wanted. he wanted this very specific peter pan costume and he REALLY wanted to cast the rest of the characters of peter pan and his friends dress up as each of them. they cast was always changing everyday and i was nervous that he was going to dissapointed when it wasn't going to be that way in real life haha. i kept trying to explain to him that kids in his class wouldn't have wendy costume or capatin hook costumes readily available. he really wanted my dad to be mr smee haha.
he picked out his invites and had specific plans for his cake. he wanted a cookie cake. the even better thing about all his planning was that it would change daily. his cake design changed many times. he even had the flow of the party planned out and even how people would stand when he was doing the pinata. he told me exactly what foods he wanted at his party: "black" grapes, cheetos, mike the knights (mike and ikes) and popcorn...these are all his favs! :)

this was my first time to have his party somehwere other than our house..since i was gone to a meeting all week it was much easier to have it somehwere but i kind of missed it at our house. i love singing happy birthday to my babies at our kitchen table nad soaking it all in! :) there was lots of energy in this room that was JUST right at this place !ha! mccoy had such a big time and loved his day! :)

on tuesday he woke up to his actual bday!
he got a new big bike! he picked this one out because it had a place to put guns.

ps--he wanted to sleep in this outfit cause it was like dad

liza needed 7 candles in her doughnut if he was going to have 5 lit.

big huff and puff for the birthday wish!

i went and read to his class and brought cookies! he loved it! :)
that night he picked chuck e cheese for his bday dinner!
